+ Campus notification: Campus Activities Resume

Campus Activities Continue Today

Campus activities will continue today, including Dean B. Ellis Library opening at noon, women's basketball this afternoon at 2 p.m. and the Delta Symphony Concert at Fowler Center.

With up to a 1/4 inch of ice on trees around campus, please use caution as the ice begins to fall from trees and elevated surfaces. Many tree limbs have fallen, and during today, more will fall with the ice load in the wind.

While the icy landscape looks pretty, please stay away from low hanging branches and watch out for persistent icy patches on the ground.

Through a Child's Eyes/STEM Day

04/8/2018, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Location: Museum

Come experience this popular juried exhibition of children's artwork, then engage in art activities based on STEM concepts.

Through a Child’s Eyes (TACE) is a juried art exhibition featuring works of art by children aged four through grade 8 in the region.  Local judges will award first, second and third place ribbons to each grade level, and an overall winner will be honored with the Charlott Jones Best in Show award.

This year’s edition of “Through a Child’s Eyes” will be dedicated to Dr. Charlott Jones, who died recently.  She is a former director of ASU Museum, and the annual exhibition was one of her favorite projects.

TACE guests venturing into the main gallery will find art-themed activities that cross into science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and inspire creative thinking and innovation. Guests will discover quirky, unconventional ways to create art.

For detailed information, contact Jill Kary, jkary@AState.edu, ASU Museum’s curator of education, at (870) 972-2074.
