This workshop will expose students to a variety of sports medicine fields, concepts and sports first aid. Students attending will hear from allied health and sports medicine speakers, including athletic trainers, physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and strength and conditioning coaches; learn more about sports medicine career options; learn or refresh CPR skills; and gain first responder action tips for icing, taping, bracing, etc. There will be demonstrations and small hands-on projects for response techniques and intervention. Parents are invited to attend a general session and tour the Langford Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Complex at ASU to learn more about degrees in this area.
