This course is designed to enlighten students about the ultimate origins of the food we eat. We will begin by visiting the ASU farm and conclude by discussing where our food comes from in the classroom. Key concepts to be discussed are: agriculture, photosynthesis, livestock, and crops. Students will have the opportunity to interact with livestock and plant seeds; examine the anatomy of a seed; and label the part of plants. Students need to wear tennis shoes, non-restrictive clothing for outdoor exploration and bring a bottle of water.
