The Dean B. Ellis Library will host a booksigning by author Dr. W. Stuart Town at the library Tuesday, March 7th at 3:00 pm in the Third Floor Exhibit and Program Area. W. Stuart Towns is recently retired from Professor and Chairman of the Department of Communication Studies at Southeast Missouri State University. His recent book, Enduring Legacy: Rhetoric and Ritual of the Lost Cause, explores the crucial role of rhetoric and oratory in creating and propagating a “Lost Cause” public memory of the American South after the Civil War.
