ASU Advanced Placement Program Institute offers 13 courses for AP and Pre AP training. Certificates of completion for 30 hours will be issued to each teacher who attends the entire institute and has paid fees in full. AP courses offered are Biology, Calculus, English Literature, English Language, Environmental Science, U. S. History, World History, Chemistry-New, Chemistry-Experienced, and French Language. Pre AP Middle School Courses offered are Math, English, Social Science and History.
The cost is $525.00 per registrant for non-residential and $600.00 for residents staying in ASU Housing. Distribution of Arkansas funds will be based on priority status: 1st priority for Arkansas AP teachers who have not had previous AP training. with emphasis on applicants from Needs Improvement "Priority or Focus" Schools. 2nd for Arkansas AP teachers previously trained. After April 15th, the remaining grants will be made available to Arkansas Pre AP teachers. An additional fee of $50.00 will be billed to participants who attend the Chemistry session for lab fees and materials.
Schools or individuals will be billed the full amount if registered participant does not attend or cancels after July 5, 2013. Payment for the Institute is due by July 12, 2013.
