A-State ABI DNA Day

04/7/2017, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Student Activity Center

The goal of our event is provide an opportunity for students to learn about and celebrate the latest advances in genomic research and explore how those advances might impact their lives.

During the event, Jr. High students from regional Arkansas schools will participate in an entire morning of hands-on activities centered on genetic research going on at A-State. They will learn about how DNA is used in plant bioengineering of human pharmaceuticals to how it used to track down wildlife poachers.

This year, we have partnered with the Endangered Wolf Center in Missouri and the A-State College of Sciences and Mathematics for a Red Wolf conservation event theme.
