A-State General Study Abroad Application
Apply Now

All A-State students applying for study abroad are required to complete the A-State general study abroad online application and submit any related materials. Applications are accepted and processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Space is limited.  Apply early. Please note that this program also has a separate application process for the company running the program as well. You must also sign up there (information below in the cost section). You can sign up on both places at the same time (recommended) but we will not confirm your spot until you have been cleared by the Study Abroad Office to study abroad.

Program Description

From rugged coastline to rolling countryside, charming villages to valleys dotted with sheep, experience Ireland's natural beauty and local culture. Travel beyond the major cities to explore the towering Cliffs of Moher, wander past ancient rock formations at Giant's Causeway, and stop at small towns along the Atlantic Coast. The course, taught by Dr. Damphousse, will provide a comprehensive examination of the history of terrorism going to early civilization, through the French Revolution, to the contemporary period of the past two centuries. We will discuss the problems confronting societies as they seek to formulate and implement a strategy to combat terrorists.
