In June 2013, ASU is offering a summer study abroad program in Madrid, Spain. Students will have the choice of enrolling in Honors Fine Arts Visual, Fine Arts Visual or Survey of Art History 2. As part of their chosen course, students will explore first hand the cathedrals, palaces, museums, and other cultural sites throughout Madrid; take day trips to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Toledo, Segovia, and Salamanca; and make a 3-day, 2-night excursion to Andalusia in southern Spain to visit Granada, Seville, and Córdoba. Students have the option of staying either in student apartments or with a Spanish family. There will be a three-day weekend for those students who want to do independent travel to a place of their choosing such as Barcelona or the Costa del Sol.
Estimated program cost includes security deposit, three credits in-state undergraduate tuition, housing, round-trip airfare, transportation to and from the airport in Madrid, museum entrance fees, metro passes, transportation/accommodations for excursions, and orientation in Madrid.
