Important Dates for May 2012 Graduation

Undergraduate Intent Cards:  Due by January 17th.
This earlier deadline was set to allow for better reporting.  When the intent card is coded, an automatic email is sent your campus email account, notifying you of the receipt and directing you to the Undergraduate Graduation Tracker.  If you have already submitted your intent card, you should be receiving the automatic email within the next two weeks, as we are currently in the process of coding all that have been submitted.

If you HAVE NOT submitted your intent card, please do so as soon as possible, as you will not be included in any reporting if not coded.  Due to us still processing the intent cards, we will gladly accept any latecomers though January 31st.  Any received by our office AFTER THIS DATE must be accompanied with the completed checksheet in order to be accepted.

Checksheets:  Due by January 31st.
These are the responsibility of your advisor.  Once your intent card is received and coded, your advisor will be informed that your checksheet is needed.  We are currently coding all received intent cards and should be done by the January 31st deadline.

Graduation Fee:  Must be registered by April 2nd.
This fee is required of ALL graduating students, even if you do not participate in the ceremony.  The $45 fee covers the processing of the paperwork, the printing of the Commencement Program, the Diploma  and cover, as well as the attire.  You must register and pay for the graduation fee in order to pick up your graduation attire. Any fee previously paid will carry over. Please register for this.

Traditional Jonesboro students should register for the Jonesboro section, while students graduating through the Beebe or Mt. Home Degree Centers should register for the respective section. Students from any other degree center will register for the Jonesboro fee.

CRN 12919 – Jonesboro Graduation Fee
CRN 14109 – Beebe Degree Center Graduation Fee
CRN 14110 – Mountain Home Degree Center Graduation Fee

If holds prevent you from registering, please send the graduation coordinator (Beverly Weems) an email from your campus email account granting permission, and this will be done for you.

Graduation Tracker For Undergraduate Students

Please visit the ASU myCampus portal to access the graduation tracker. The graduation tracker provides personal data on your graduation status. Visit the tracker today to see your information.  Students will have access to the tracker after their intent card is coded in the system.  Once the intent card is coded, students will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt.

Honors Information

To qualify for Latin Honors, you must meet the following criteria as specified in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

Cum Laude – 3.60-3.79 GPA
Magna Cum Laude – 3.80-3.99 GPA
Summa Cum Laude – 4.00 GPA

To receive any of the above designations, students must be seeking their first baccalaureate degree, and have completed at least 45 semester hours of graded course work offered by Arkansas State University. If the student has transfer work, both the ASU GPA and the Overall Cumulative GPA must meet the requirement.

Note: Semester hours completed and grade points earned during the term in which the student is graduating WILL NOT be used to determine academic distinction (honors).  For example, for students who graduate during the Fall term, academic distinction will be based on their LAST enrollment term, which may be Spring or Summer, depending on the student.
