Biography

Following graduation from Arkansas State University, Mike worked as a public school speech therapist in Missouri for one year before entering the master's program in audiology at Memphis State University. Upon completion of the master's degree, he became the audiologist for the Western Arkansas Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In 1979 he was accepted into the doctoral program in audiology at Memphis State University. While pursuing the Ph.D. Mike was Director of audiology for the Shea Clinic in Memphis, and Associate Professor in the Department of Otorhynolaryngology at the University of Tennessee medical School, also in Memphis, Director of Audiology at the Mid South hearing and Balance Center, and Director of Audiology for the William Robert Stewart ENT clinic in Columbia, Tennessee. Mike joined the faculty at Arkansas State University in the spring of 1989.
