This month, ITS would like to showcase Digital Signs and Katherine Dickerson and her photo, "Day at the Park".
Katherine recently won the Best Still photo for her graphic, "Day at the Park" in the 9th annual Expression Awards from our digital signage vendor Visix. Tracey McMasters, ITS Digital Media Group, added the photo to the digital signs across campus and submitted the photo to the contest on behalf of Katherine. According to Tracey, the graphic was "a real attention getter" and she could see this graphic potentially winning the contest.
Katherine used Adobe Illustrator to create the photo. She also finds ideas by looking through Instagram and Pinterest. Katherine's friend and fellow member of the Student Activities Board (SAB), Hailey Stotts helped her decide to go with the vintage look.
Katherine is a senior and Public Relations and Advertising Major at A-State with a minor in Graphic Design.
She is interning at the Leadership Center and is Co-Spirit Director for the SAB. She is a member of Omicron Epsilon chapter of Delta Zeta.. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, hammocking, and anything outdoors.
