Nurse Anesthesia

The MSN in Nurse Anesthesia is a 28-month, 85-credit hour, full time program that prepares Registered Nurses for entry into nurse anesthesia practice. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. Satisfactory performance is necessary in order to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

The Nurse Anesthesia Program begins annually in January. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Interviews are required and are conducted throughout the year.   Interviews for January 2013 class will be held on April 14, 2012. 


Note:  Candidates who are accepted into the program may take the following core courses prior to entry into the Nurse Anesthesia Program.

*NURS 6203 Theory Development in Nursing - 3 CR
