First Friday

Each month during the academic year, the chancellor composes First Friday, an online report to the university community, as an outlet for providing timely and detailed information about new developments on campus and other topics of interest.

Interim Chancellor Dan Howard began writing First Friday in September of 2010.  First Friday is distributed by e-mail to all faculty and staff, members of the Alumni Association, the Chancellor's Cabinet, government officials, donors, and other friends of the university.  The latest version of First Friday is posted here on the Chancellor’s Office website, and a file copy of every edition is available through the First Friday Archive.  An index of the topics covered and the edition date is also available for easy reference.
